A TV cabinet has a mirrored trompe l'oeil effect on the doors, and a television that can be raised automatically and swiveled so it can be viewed from the bed or a sofa on the opposite wall.In the bathroom Calacatta Gold marble slabs feature on the tub deck, vanity tops and waterfall sides, while the walls around the bathing areas are tiled. The vanities feature high-gloss Macassar ebony wood. Calacatta Gold marble surrounds this deep tub deck in a French Deco bathroom designed by Shelly Handman. "This was chosen for its French Deco look," says Handman. "It enhances the elegant feel, but is not foreboding. In fact the entire bathroom feels light and airy, thanks in part to the natural light from the skylight."To disguise the small scale of a high window, Handman specified large white shutters that give the impression of a much larger window.
