SA 996XR oven is a thermosealed The homeowners wanted a commercial-style kitchen, so the designer from Sanctuary 28 Projects specified a stainless steel toekick and detailing beneath the benchtops, and Smeg appliances. Some appliances are integrated into the cabinetry, such as the rangehood and the dishwasher, which contains a tall tank large enough to accommodate serving plates, pots and pans.The 90cm-wide Smeg oven is paired with a Smeg cooktop, which has restaurant-style iron trivets and a central burner to accommodate fish kettles and griddle pans. The designer positioned the underbench microwave so that it faces the kitchen workspace, rather than the living area."All the appliances on show are linear they complement the horizontal lines of the cabinetry and long cabinetry handles," says Lee. "On the oven, the controls are on the side, rather than the top, which accentuates the oven's long lines and means the oven door handle is closer to the benchtop."
