Imagination is all very well when you're planning a new kitchen, but it's better to be able to see in advance exactly how it will look and work.

That's the thinking behind the new showroom for Apex Kitchen & Bath, in Morton Grove, IL. Manager Louis Plevritis says the showroom took more than a year to build, and it's easy to see why.

"We have equipped the showroom with full kitchens and working bathrooms, so clients can readily see how the different designs and products look and function. Our interior designer, Manikas Designs, has fitted out the kitchen displays right down to the glassware, ceramics and lighting. No detail is overlooked."

The showroom offers a large selection of fixtures and fittings, including hardware, sinks, flooring and countertop materials. Because the showroom is fully plumbed, clients can also see how the different faucets, body sprays and showerheads work.

"People want to be able to come to one store and discuss every aspect of their project," says Plevritis. "They don't want to have to shop around for all the different elements."

But Apex Kitchen & Bath doesn't just display kitchen and bathroom products. The company also offers a complete design, manufacture and installation service.

"Every kitchen is custom designed to suit the client's specific needs," Plevritis says. "Our highly experienced design consultants have an extensive product knowledge and also keep up-to-date with changing trends and appliance technology, so you can be sure your kitchen will endure for many years to come."

The display kitchens include the maple wood design shown on these pages. This kitchen features furniture-style cabinets with mouldings and decorative corbels. The cabinetry is paired with Calacatta Gold marble countertops and a matching backsplash.
