Gavan McKenna, national marketing manager for Major Electrical Appliances the De Dietrich distributor says the company is known as a built-in appliance specialist.

One of the most recent releases from De Dietrich is the combination microwave oven.
"As the name suggests, this 60cm-wide appliance combines the cooking options found in a conventional oven with the practicality and speed of a microwave oven," says McKenna. "The oven's control panel and sleek design match the conventional ovens and other appliances, such as the espresso maker. This makes it possible to achieve a consistent style throughout the kitchen."
The De Dietrich range also features a line of kitchen hoods that have a sculptural look. These hoods incorporate Intelligent Cooking System (ICS) technology. As soon as the hood detects heat or steam it is automatically activated. Power levels are regulated automatically as well.
McKenna says one of De Dietrich's best-selling items is the steam oven, which offers a healthy alternative to regular cooking methods.
"Steam cooking preserves all the vitamins and minerals, flavours, textures and colours of your food."
Other appliances from De Dietrich complement these new products. These include built-in dishwashers as well as gas, vitroceramic and induction cooktops.
