Sensitive design
Durable, environmentally friendly kitchens made from aluminum are the specialty of Modern Habitat
A concern about levels of chemical emissions in the home may be a catalyst for looking into the composition and materials of products around you.
For the owners of this home, one of whom has a chemical sensitivity, it was a serious issue. A new kitchen enabled them to improve their home environment, and kitchen designer and manufacturer Modern Habitat showed them how to do it.
Modern Habitat manufactures its Celona kitchen and bathroom cabinetry from non-toxic aluminum, imported from Spain, then custom-cuts the components of the cabinetry to the specifications of each customer. Cabinetry made in this way does not emit toxic chemicals, such as formaldehyde, which is common in wood cabinetry. Because it is made from aluminum, it is also durable, hygienic, and impervious to the effects of temperature and water.
Kitchens from Modern Habitat can be made in modern and traditional styles. Celona aluminum cabinets can be powdercoated in a wide range of flat and metallic colors. Brushed aluminum, natural wood and wood-look finishes are also available, and fronts and panels can easily be changed for a new look in years to come.
