Sculptural appeal
Recline in comfort with classic pieces designed and manufactured by Tessa Furniture
When ergonomic design is matched with structural presence, a single piece of furniture can acquire the status of a classic.
Tessa Furniture's T4 lounge chair is one piece to have established an enduring appeal with Australian interior designers, having been a top seller since 1971, says marketing manager Chris Sayers.
"The Originals range is enjoying a revival in designer circles. The company is also gaining ground with savvy new award-winning designs," he says.
Having won more than 50 awards, Tessa Furniture has established a reputation for innovative design and skilled workmanship. The company uses a specific manufacturing technique that involves pressure moulding teaks, walnuts and Victorian ash timbers to create a modern Scandinavian style of furniture.
"We have the ability to manufacture the full package from leather upholstered lounge chairs to the matching timber and glass dining suite," says Sayers.
Established in 1968, Tessa Furniture caters for the residential and corporate market. In addition to lounge and dining room furniture the company designs and manufactures occasional pieces.
