Scene-stealing kitchen by Wonderful Kitchens

When creating your dream kitchen, you'll ask yourself so many questions most importantly, which design company is right for me? With the answer to that, all the other answers you need will fall into place.
Wonderful Kitchens creates a wide variety of kitchens from the traditional to open-plan contemporary workspaces. Something all these designs share is a fundamental respect for the owner's needs, in terms of aesthetics and day-to-day functionality, says Wonderful Kitchens design consultant Andrew Dee.
"This kitchen is an excellent case in point. Before design work began, we reworked the architect's plans to ensure the footprint allowed plenty of room to move. The layout was tweaked to make a focal point of the range and chimney breast above it, and we aligned the island with both these elements for symmetrical appeal."
With the footprint revised, Dee designed the kitchen in the French Provincial style. Elements include a farmhouse sink, bolection door panels, and fluted columns on the island and next to the Aga range, which has an appropriately rustic look. Marble benchtops and traditionally styled cabinet handles complete the effect.

"As with all our projects, this kitchen reflects close attention to detail. A cantilevered end on the island offers a place to sit and also makes a softer connection to the living spaces."
