Extending your indoor flooring to the outdoors creates an easy flow. This home features Peter Fell coloured concrete
Establishing a good indoor-outdoor flow is a prerequisite for most new homes and renovation projects these days. And one of the easiest ways to make a strong visual connection is to use a similar flooring material in both areas.
The new home on these pages features Peter Fell coloured concrete flooring both inside and out. The light beige tones of the flooring complement the neutral interior backdrop and the Hinuera Stone on the house exterior.
To reinforce the use of similar materials for both the interior and exterior surfaces, the coloured concrete is cut to resemble large flagstones. The cut lines visually extend through the doors, helping to blur the boundary between indoors and out.
Peter Fell coloured concrete is available in a wide range of colours, including terracotta, sandstone and numerous other earthy tones. The Peter Fell colouring system can also be used to introduce an aged patina, and will work in with exposed aggregate finishes. As the colour is an integral part of the concrete surfaces, it won't chip off or wear away, even in high traffic areas.
The Peter Fell system is not limited to flooring, patios, paths and driveways it can also be used wherever concrete features around the home. It frequently appears on hearths, island benchtops and vanity tops.
