With the Life at Home street in Karaka featuring eight up-to-the minute display homes, all the legwork and product hunting has been done for you, says co-director of the initiative, Kim Ellett.

"Each home features myriad building products and solutions, so when looking for building or renovation ideas, you can see how a product looks in its setting.

"In addition, products are barcoded, giving visitors access to product information at the swipe of a card. The tagged data say on Award Appliances is then automatically saved to their personal watch list on the Life at Home website."

Award Appliances is a major partner in the development and has a huge range of built-in and freestanding cooking models, refrigerators, freezers, dishwashers, washing machines and dryers, right down to toasters and jugs, on show in all homes.
