Raising the benchmark
With its high-tech services and innovative environmental design, Brindabella Business Park heralds the workplace of the future
Light control is an important aspect of office design especially in Canberra, a city renowned for its climate extremes. For the external windows in the Brindabella Business Park, Uniline Slimline 25mm aluminium venetian blinds in Bright Sterling were specified.
Supplied and installed by John Watson Blinds & Awnings, the blinds enhance the crisp, streamlined look of the commercial interiors.
Director Peter Watson says the customised blinds feature Uniline Australian-made componentry, designed to increase the life of the blinds.
"The aluminium slats also ensure the blinds will not rust or be damaged by UV rays," he says.
Watson says the increased popularity of venetian blinds in recent years is due to a number of reasons, including the trend towards a minimal, contemporary look.
"The range of looks and colours has also increased," he says. "Blinds can co-ordinate with your decor. There is even a wood-grain option."
