Raising the benchmark

High-performance carpets are essential for heavy foot-traffic environments, such as the Brindabella Business Park. To ensure the flooring in this project would go the distance, Ontera Modular Carpet was specified.

Marketing manager David Rowlinson says fusion-bonded, cut-pile modular carpet from the Envisions¢ Mix-and-Match design range was selected because of its proven record of durability, soil resistance and flexibility. Custom-designed modules were also specified to create a feature in conference and breakout areas.

"The carpet incorporates the top-of-the-range Antron Legacy¢ nylon 6,6 yarns produced by Invista. In addition, like all Ontera modular carpets, the carpet for this project features a soil release treatment to maintain its appearance."

Rowlinson says Envisions fusion-bonded, cut-pile modules ensure that no fraying, unravelling or delamination will occur. This is particularly important in raised access floor installations where tiles need to be cut at perimeters, around columns and around floor power-outlet boxes.

All the modular carpet supplied to 14 & 16 Brindabella Circuit incorporates Positile¢ positioning buttons inserted into the backing of the carpet tile, and precision-matched into perforations in the floor panels. This ensures that the carpet modules are resistant to any lateral movement.
