A state-of-the-art complex needs high-tech security. The solution at Zone 23 comprises two integrated systems, supplied by Intek Security Group and installed by Soundcraft Electronics. One is Genesis, an access control system, and the other is ACI Farfisa, the intercom system.Daniel Beekhuizen is intercom product manager of Intek and explains the two systems. A view of the security systems used through out the building. "Genesis is an Australian-made, highly flexible platform for access control," he says. "The Zone 23 installation has three secured car parks, a main entrance gate, and a lift, all tied into the system."The front gate is time-controlled but can also be accessed by proximity access cards. The garage gates have the same method of access, with the addition of highly secure wireless transmitters, for ease of control from within vehicles. In the lift, floor access is restricted to appropriate, authorised tenants. A view of the security systems used through out the building. The Italian ACI Farfisa intercom system, DF6000, is used here as a one-gate calling station that can call any occupancy in the complex with two way audio and occupier visual recognition. For more details, contact Intek Security Group, 51 Normanby Rd, Mt Eden, Auckland, phone (09) 623 7240, fax (09) 623 7265.
