Playing by different rules
An innovative construction process using environmentally sustainable design principles results in a multi-award winning development
Gaining privacy without feeling like you're in a maximum security cell is a mission in itself, but when you also have to factor in environmentally sustainable design processes, it can leave you scratching your head. When Viridian Noosa was looking for an integrated approach to privacy and security for their multi-award winning development, they turned to Shutter Flex, says managing director Peter Ryan.
"The Viridian project allowed Shutter Flex to showcase some of our innovative products corrugated privacy screens and balcony shutters."
Louvred balcony shutters allow homeownersand tenants to maintain optimum light and airflow conditions throughout the day. They also reduce reliance upon artificial ventilation such as air conditioning, adhering to the project's environmental focus.
Coupled with privacy screens in colours complementary to the surroundings, both applications helped minimise the project's visual impact.
