Richard Rowley of Designer Pools says that as the house is set towards the rear of the sunny site, the pool was placed in the front. A large wall provides privacy from the street. At the side, a gap allows a view of the landscaped area beyond.

"A pavilion, built in the same style and materials as the house, further enhances the setting and provides a shady place to sit," says Rowley.
