Open to change
Saniflo macerating pumps mean extra facilities can be installed away from sewer lines
Necessity or convenience can prompt change in the home. A second bathroom might be required because of an extension to the family or a laundry upgrade may be needed simply to reduce frustration. However, sometimes the structure of the house can hinder the required plumbing.
A solution to this problem comes from Saniflo, with its small-bore grey water and macerator pumps. These systems are able to pump vertically up to 8m and horizontally up to 100m, allowing for the installation of water-using facilities away from, or even below existing sewer lines.
Saniflo's Chris Olsen says these pump systems make renovating easy, as there is no need to undertake concrete core cutting to access sewer lines.
"Small-bore pipework can be easily concealed within walls and ceiling cavities. This allows homeowners to locate facilities where they want them instead of where an architect or builder says they have to be," he says.
Saniflo is the inventor and market leader of these systems. The company has a range of pumps to suit different applications, with one example being SaniBest, a pump that can accept up to four inlets to plumb an entire bathroom.
