To do this, designer Cherie Stevenson from Klassic Kitchens opened up the area allocated for the kitchen and created a peninsula breakfast bar, which makes an easy connection with the open-plan living spaces.The designer also chose colours and materials to create a visual link between the two areas. Kitchen cabinetry is lacquered to colour-match the rest of the house, and granite was chosen for the island and perimeter benchtops. For additional storage and to make it easy to keep the space clean and tidy, a handy walk-in scullery is accessed through sliding glass doors at the end of the kitchen.
