There are many ways to ensure your new home has the x factor but standout architectural features and eye-catching cladding materials are the most obvious.

Both these elements give this new house plenty of street appeal. The property features new Blue Steel Flash clay bricks from PGH Bricks & Pavers¢, an Australian company that has been manufacturing durable clay bricks and pavers for more than 100 years.

Michelle Gissel, PGH group marketing manager, says the company is passionate about clay bricks and paving, and takes every opportunity to introduce innovative, cost-effective and environmentally friendly products and systems.

"The new Blue Steel Flash brick is a perfect example of this commitment," Gissel says. "This mottled brick has blue-black tones with a hint of red that provides added visual interest. And the wire-cut texture and shimmering appearance of the brick give it a metallic look that subtly changes with the light."

Gissel says the brick was developed in co-operation with architects and one of Australia's leading colour forecasting groups, Colourways.

"PGH Bricks & Pavers has raised the bar for product quality, visual appeal and diversity, while still providing a durable, energy-efficient cladding material."
