The upmarket Olive Estate Lifestyle Village in Richmond Nelson offers a relaxed lifestyle for over 55-year-olds.

With stage one of the townhouses and villas complete, sales manager Vanessa Taylor looked through the HomePlus website and sourced the Felicia motorised awning as an ideal solution for weather protection for the homes' front and rear courtyards. The idea was to make the sunny areas shady and cool for residents.

The Felicia is a retractable arm awning, with matching housing that the awning retracts into. This also stores the electronics so everything is protected and tidy.

Taylor worked with HomePlus Nelson manager Matt Ludemann to customise, manufacture, and install the shades. As a testament to their popularity, residents have already put in orders for over 20.

The particular Felicia Awning chosen for the village is 3.5m wide and 3m deep. Its Planasol fabric is in Mist Grey a solid tone that complements the village's quiet, refined colour scheme.
