Morgan Cronin, Cronin Kitchens – Winner – TIDA New Zealand Designer Kitchen of the Year

The process of designing this striking kitchen began well before construction of the new home got underway.

Key to the requirements was that it should tie in with the architectural features of the space in which it was to sit – including cast-in-place concrete walls and fireplace, black floor-to-ceiling window joinery, and light oak sarking and floors.

The resulting design is a monolithic kitchen that makes a bold statement through its form and selection of materials.

The judges were impressed with how successfully in tune this kitchen is with its strong architectural setting, while at the same time being both a practical and welcoming space.
