For this contemporary project, the owners approached dedicated architectural hardware specialist Chant to find the best possible choice for all their window and door hardware. The doors and handles had to have a consistent look throughout and be high on function and low on upkeep, says company owner Graham Chant.

"And they came to the right place. Our design team meets with architects, designers or specifiers to find the right handle and hardware for a project in terms of aesthetics and function.

"Here, they wanted a polished copper finish and the same style of handle used throughout. And our popular Axis range was the perfect fit."

The Axis hardware supplied by Chant in the warm, weathered metal included pull handles for the external and internal sliders, casement fasteners and telescopic stays for the windows, as well as flush pulls for internal cavity sliders and lever handles for the hinge doors.

"Axis is one of our most popular lines although we also specialise in custom designs that respond directly to the needs of a particular project. Here, for example, we created a custom patch fitting for the glass entry doors."
