Making waves

State-of-the-art interior design features right through the Yve apartments, and the futuristic glass-walled bathrooms are no exception. The architects wanted a plumbing specialist with the industry experience to create seamless, hassle-free bathroom environments throughout.

NSG Plumbing installed the hydraulic plumbing services for all 210 apartments. However, the company's role went beyond supplying and installing the finished plumbing, says director Norm Anderson.

"We resolved some plumbing-related issues for the fit-out quite early in the piece, by creating a full-size prototype bathroom in our factory," he says. "This mock-up, together with a close working relationship with the client, allowed us to achieve the desired end product well before construction took place."

As a result of this initiative, alternative fixtures and tapware were selected and supplied with cost savings to the client, and a consummate end result in terms of appearance and functionality.
