Making a splash
This dramatic lap pool sets off the home it was designed in conjunction with. The sparkling feature was built by Pool Resources
Exercise, aesthetic improvement, fiscal advantage, or just out-and-out family fun a swimming pool brings many things to a residence. When a pool is designed at the same time as the house it accompanies, the outcome is even more effective.
Pool Resources designs and manufactures a range of pools to suit a variety of sites and residences, and also works off a designer's plans when required, says director Brian Jones.
"The 14m lap pool set alongside this Mount Maunganui home, for example, was designed as an integral part of the architecture and built by us," says Jones.
The company specialises in pools made with a reinforced concrete shell, and sprayed with a fibreglass coating to produce a strong structure that is both attractive and easy to maintain.
"Pool Resources' detailed knowledge of trends, materials and construction methods is a major drawcard for clients," says Jones. "Another attraction for both architects and homeowners is our ability to project manage an entire job right down to the landscaping and fences."
