Make it easy
Maintaining a healthy work-life balance is even easier with the latest Whirlpool appliances they do the thinking for you
Time is a luxury for many people today, so appliances that take care of themselves are an asset in any kitchen. And if they also promote healthy eating, it's a real bonus.
Whirlpool, a name synonymous with intelligent, high-performance technology, has released a new line-up of appliances that do just that with the help of Whirlpool's 6th Sense technology.
The new Whirlpool built-in oven, for example, is designed to bake, grill and crisp food just like a conventional oven, but with the speed of a microwave. Whirlpool's 6th Sense technology provides sensors that constantly check the humidity level of the food and automatically adjust cooking duration and power for optimum results.
Whirlpool manager Troy Scragg says the microwave's ease of use makes it ideal for busy households.
"It couldn't be more simple or reliable," he says. "But the microwave's other features also put it in a class of its own. For example, the way it uses a convection forced-air system to bake cakes and roasts, and the crisp function that browns and crisps pies in just six minutes. It also has a jet-defrost function that can defrost 500g of mince in just two minutes 24 seconds."
Other Whirlpool appliances to feature 6th Sense technology include the AKZ177IX double oven, which offers a total capacity of 90 litres, making it easy to cater to a crowd.
This kitchen also highlights the Whirlpool AKT922IX cooktop, the 6AKR976IX rangehood and the 740-litre side-by-side fridge-freezer. Sensors in the refrigerator constantly monitor temperature variations caused by loading and unloading items, restoring the ideal temperature quickly.
