Installing a swimming pool is not just about providing a place to cool off on a hot afternoon. These days, it's also about creating an attractive outdoor living area that can be enjoyed all year round by day and by night.

Alan Judd of Manawatu Pool & Spa says the fibreglass pool features a Blue Royal finish, highlighted at night by fibreoptic lighting around the perimeter. A sheer descent waterfall is also illuminated by fibreoptic lighting, which changes colour at regular intervals.

"Both the look and sound of the running water enhance the night landscape, and help make this an appealing entertaining area," says Alan Judd. "The water feature is also enjoyed by young children, thanks to a bench seat positioned beneath the water."

The company works with local landscapers to ensure the paving, walls and planting chosen complements each pool and its setting.
