Major renovation winners at NABD Designer Awards
Arc seven.1 and DTDA win major renovation awards at the Australian NABD awards

In the short time since its inception in 2013, the National Association of Building Designers (NABD) has quickly become a national voice for our building designers. Key drivers include gaining recognition for members' expertise in home design.
These renovations were judged two of the best at the recent NABD Awards.

View Street house, by DTDA, attracted the award for Best Alteration/Addition Residential Design over $800K construction. This extensive remodel project respects the original limestone house with elegantly detailed and executed interiors. Focus is on the property's internal views rather than compromising the design in pursuit of river outlooks. The garage and loft bedroom at the rear bookend the site, emphasising the seclusion and privacy that the owners wanted.
A Perth makeover by Arc seven.1 took out Best Alteration/Addition Residential Design $350K to $800K construction. Tucked behind the existing home's classic Art Deco fae§ade, this brilliantly resolved and tastefully crafted adult cubby house' is a space for the owners and their growing family to play and relax in. A light-filled glazed connection from the existing house leads to the two-storey box' at the rear.
