Light touch
For precision control over natural lighting, consider Luxaflex sunscreens from NZ Window Shades
Direct sunlight can bring heat and glare in to an office environment both enemies of work productivity. However, shutting the sun out behind heavy curtains can also mean blocking out natural light altogether along with the scenery. One solution is sunscreen rollershades that admit enough light to create a cool, shady ambience and still allow you to enjoy the view.
Luxaflex Panorama Sunscreen Rollershades offer precise control over natural lighting in the workplace, says Kim Jarman, commercial division sales manager for NZ Window Shades, the distributor of Luxaflex.
"The rollershades' translucent fabric reduces glare and heat transfer, while protecting interiors from harmful UV rays," says Jarman. "They also allow you to look out while preserving the office's daytime privacy."
Luxaflex rollershades are made from a fine basket weave of PVC-coated yarn, giving them a sheer mesh-screen feel. They have a textured look, achieved by a weave of light and dark yarns.
Suitable for a range of decors, they are available in 20 Colourfast material colours, with white, ivory, black, grey, and chrome hardware options.
"Part of the attraction of Luxaflex Panorama shades is their versatility," says Jarman. "They can be controlled manually, by chain control, or by fully automated remote control."
Added versatility comes with a Linx roller system allowing multiple blinds to be connected to one drive. A twin roller option has two blinds over one window, one acting as a sunscreen, the other providing total blockout for night-time privacy.
