Creating an upmarket environment, indoors or outdoors, can be as easy as introducing a single, prominent feature but which one? Polished concrete floors are one stand-out option and work well on interior and exterior applications.

Polished Concrete creates stand-out surfaces that are as attractive as they are enduring, says owner Jason Torbet.

"We grind and polish concrete floors to optimum gleaming impact in both new and existing homes," he says. "These surfaces are suited to outdoor as well as indoor environments and can greatly improve the resale value of your home."

The floors are also low maintenance, making them well-suited for rental and commercial properties.

"By mixing the concrete with other materials such as stones, pebbles, coloured oxides, glass, shells and marble, we can create a variety of effects," he says. "There are also specialist coatings and decorative cuts, to add to the design possibilities."

Other advantages to polished concrete floors include a healthy environment for asthmatics, reflected light and compatibility with under-floor heating systems.
