Waterfront properties remain the most sought-after building sites as demand for the Coomera Waters development on the Gold Coast attests
Property developments need to meet a whole new set of requirements today. Along with a sought-after location, there's a need for diverse product offerings as well as sustainable design initiatives.
Austcorp's Coomera Waters project on the Gold Coast meets all these requirements and more. Launched in 2001 and already home to more than 2000 people, the development has been listed in the Queensland Property Hotspot report as one of Queensland's 12 hottest property spots, hence its nickname, Boomera.
Coomera Waters is a fully sustainable masterplanned community built around a 17ha harbour with deep-water access for a 72-berth marina. It is located on the Gold Coast north shore, in the city's fastest growing suburb of Coomera.
Austcorp Queensland general manager Kerry Spencer says the development is designed to suit a variety of tastes, budgets and lifestyles. Land options include waterfront lots and sites with hinterland and parkland views. There are also luxury waterfront villas overlooking the marina.
Spencer says that in recognition of its environmental sensitivity, Coomera Waters is accredited with the prestigious EnviroDevelopment status by the Urban Development Institute of Australia.
"The project was given the certification based on strict scientific benchmarks for environmentally sustainable developments. It incorporates a number of sustainable design initiatives."
