It is the dream of many a beach-loving New Zealander to own a little piece of coastal paradise, but in recent times, soaring house prices have made this seem an unattainable aspiration.

Also flexible is the way in which a house is built. Buyers can choose to erect kitset homes themselves or opt for a full contract, in which the building is undertaken by the company's subcontractors. It is also possible to mix-and-match.

"Houses can be fully built in our yard and transported to your site, or built for you on site up to any stage you wish. A comprehensive kitset option even includes whiteware for the kitchen," says Mr Thomas.

All components used in the creation of the homes are supplied by well-known companies, such as James Hardie, ITM and Winstone Wallboards. In the Beach Series shown here, James Hardie Axon panel exterior cladding and Linea weatherboards provide resistance to moisture damage, rotting and fire, ensuring durability even in a seaside environment.
