Leap to success

Being able to play anywhere in the world in top-class sports arenas without risk of injury to team members and without experiencing a drop-off in performance is a reasonable expectation on the part of sports teams from around the globe.

Sprung timber floors in the Tect Arena in Mt Maunganui were installed by Hardwood Technology to provide a strong, durable sports surface. This had to be capable of taking large seating loads at a variety of events that New Zealanders now expect to be able to see. The new floor was also designed to meet the high international standards specified for sports performances. Hardwood Technology also worked on the bleacher and spectator seating.
