The seaside ambience of the Sumar holiday home at Whangapoua is reflected in the paint colours. Interior walls and ceilings feature Resene SpaceCote Low Sheen tinted to Resene Black White, with accent walls in Resene Eighth Mondo a soft grey-brown neutral that adopts the tonings of the surrounding colours.

Resene SpaceCote Low Sheen is well suited to family living areas. Being a waterborne, low-odour, Environmental Choice-approved paint, it provides a durable, washable finish. The paint is suited to renovations too, as its reduced sheen minimises surface imperfections.

Resene paints also feature on the exterior. The concrete block fireplace is painted in Resene X-200 acrylic waterproofing membrane, in the colour Resene Fuscous Grey. Exposed steelwork is finished in Resene Uracryl, tinted to Resene Fuscous Grey. Resene Uracryl is a two-coat system that provides a tough, durable finish.

The Rockcote-plastered walls also feature Resene Quarter Tea, which is from The Range Whites & Neutrals fandeck.
