From the patio to the living room and even the ensuite new halogen technology from Lighting Direct makes a world of difference

The house shown here features products from Lighting Direct. On the patio, aluminium step lights are positioned on a low wall. These 20W, low-voltage halogen burner lamps provide soft accent lighting, says general manager Dean Fulford.
"The lamps create warm pools of light, helping to establish an inviting ambience, ideal for outdoor entertaining," he says.
In the living areas, including the dining room and kitchen, square, brushed-chrome halogen downlights feature. The living room and dining area have Architectural gimbal halogen downlights, which can be adjusted to throw light in any direction. These lights are available in groups of two or three.
The kitchen features fixed Universal halogen downlights. Fulford says both lighting types have low-voltage, energy-efficient lamps that provide a clean, white light for good task lighting. Dimmer settings ensure the lighting can be altered to suit the mood.
The ensuite bathroom in this house showcases the new Fres lighting from Eglo in Austria. Designed to replace traditional Hollywood-style vanity lighting, the Fres features the latest G9 halogen technology. The 40W lamps are available in strips of two, three or four, and are suitable for placing alongside mirrors.
"These lights have an attractive, acid-finish glass. As well as being aesthetically pleasing, they cast a particularly flattering light," says Fulford.
