Inviting colour Resene

First impressions matter, especially when you are looking for a new home you want to feel welcome and you need to be able to envisage your future lifestyle.

These were precisely the reasons behind the choice of Resene colours in this display apartment, which is showcasing a new development by Baptist Community Services. Designed by McFadyen Architects and Gilmore Interior Design (GID), Gracewood Community development in Kellyville will include 200 independent living units.

GID says the apartment needed to have a welcoming, colourful interior with a contemporary feel. The design team consequently specified Resene Chalky, a warm sunshine yellow, for the walls beside the entry and in the kitchen and marketing suite. Resene Half Sisal, a soft neutral, features on other walls throughout the interior, making a warm backdrop to the bright furnishings. In the living room, this was teamed with a darker neutral tone in a custom colour.

The bedroom features Resene Cougar, a warm taupe with hints of pink, which makes a soft contrast to chocolate, cream and bright teal furnishings.

Resene Zylone Sheen and Resene SpaceCote Low Sheen are the paint types recommended for interior broadwalls.
