One hundred per cent Australian-made furniture features throughout the new Bendigo Bank. Supplied by Zenith Interiors, the office furniture includes bright-red Centurion 202¢ tambour storage cabinets with translucent doors manufactured from environmentally friendly polystyrene.

Zenith Interiors account manager Matt Fisher says the company also supplied more than 1000 container-irrigated plants, featuring mother-in-law's tongue plants.

"The plants contribute towards a greener office environment," he says. "The self-irrigating system, which is exclusive to Zenith, incorporates a fully sealed, self-contained pot with an automatic irrigation system controlled by the plants. With mother-in-law's tongue plants, the self-contained pots only need replenishing once every one to two months."

Fisher says the self-irrigating product has received Smart Approved WaterMark accreditation.

Other furniture from Zenith Interiors includes Options¢ workstations. Designed for modularity and easy disassembly, the workstations provide maximum flexibility as well as environmental benefits. All components can be refurbished or recycled, making for a longer life span and avoiding landfill waste.

Each workstation has an Explorer mobile caddy unit and there are custom-designed white storage units at the end of each cluster. These powdercoated metal units can accommodate two levels of lever arch files at desk height. Fisher says much of the furniture was powdercoated in custom colours, including bright lime green, yellow and orange.
