Open plan living is very popular these days, but some people still prefer the intimacy of smaller, individual rooms. Having several living spaces rather than one large room can also provide an opportunity to create a different atmosphere in each space.

This home was designed and built by Visual Statement for a couple who wanted a versatile home with intimate living spaces. Designers from Visual Statement spent time getting to know the owners, and together worked on plans for a five-bedroom house big enough for family and friends to enjoy with winter and summer lounges.

Mark McKay from Visual Statement says the company offers a complete package from start to finish.

"Having it all in-house means there is a continuity between the designer and the builder nothing gets forgotten," he says.
