When a building has stunning harbour views, it would be a crime not to make the most of them. But while large windows allow views to be fully appreciated, they can be a disadvantage in terms of heat and glare. Installing Sunscreens made from semi-transparent fabric allows light to be kept at an acceptable level without restricting access to views.

Sunscreens from New Zealand Window Shades were specified by Craig Craig Moller for the Minter Ellison floors.

Some meeting rooms required full blockout blinds, but Sunscreen fabric was used for the majority of the project. This semi-transparent fabric ensures a reduction of glare, but allows the occupiers to take full advantage of the views across Auckland city and the harbour. The transparent nature of the fabric allows the flow of light and ventilation whilst reducing the impact of heat, glare and UV rays by up to 95%.

Three different types of Sunscreen Rollershades were specified for the project static screens, chain-controlled screens and motorised screens.

Rollershades are available in an extensive range of fabrics, finishes and trims to match the aesthetics of any room. They can be installed on either interior or exterior windows. Easy to maintain and simple to operate, they protect your office from the harmful effect of the sun's UV rays.
