Inside and out
A kitchen that offers aesthetic appeal and practical solutions is easy with The Kitchen Company
Beauty is only skin deep, runs the adage. But for an up-market kitchen, the attractive features need to go beyond eye-catching surfaces. To ensure your workspace looks the part and also performs well ergonomically, choose a designer that places emphasis on every aspect of a project.
The kitchens shown on this page form part of two penthouses located in the same apartment building, says Ian Fisher director of The Kitchen Company.
"We wanted to create a luxurious, yet understated look overall," says Fisher. "The two kitchens are almost identical in style and finish, except for antique brown granite benchtops in one kitchen and taupe granite work surfaces in the other. These were supplied by the Granite Benchtop Company."
Both kitchens feature a close attention to detail in terms of looks and efficiency.
"Smooth-operating InnoTech drawer systems are tucked behind subtle wood veneers, imported from France," says Fisher. "The kitchens' larger drawer fronts conceal smaller internal drawers, giving the cabinetry a simple, uncluttered look."
Miele and Gaggenau appliances with an aluminium finish and French oak floors complete the look.
