Iconic imagery
Inspired by the Olympic torch and making visual reference to the Sydney Opera House, the 80-level Q1 apartment building soars high above the Gold Coast
From the landscaped outdoor areas and the Fitness Centre pool to the individual apartments, the surface finishes chosen for the Q1 Tower are all part of the contemporary look.
Salvatore Ceramics worked with Sunland to supply natural limestone, black granite, polished porcelain, vitrified and ceramic tiles for a variety of areas in the building.
Sam Mazza of Salvatore Ceramics says his objective was to fulfil Sunland's design concepts and meet the budget and delivery programme.
"On a project of this scale, there are always logistical and distribution issues to overcome, but the work was all completed within the required timeframe," Mazza says.
Salvatore Ceramics is an importer of mosaics, natural stone, fine porcelain, ceramic, and vitrified wall and floor tiles from all around the world. The company works with architects, developers and interior designers and, in the past ten years, has been associated with some of Queensland's major building developments.
