Inspired by the Olympic torch and making visual reference to the Sydney Opera House, the 80-level Q1 apartment building soars high above the Gold Coast
A coordinated suite of cooking appliances can provide both functional cohesion and visual flow. Therefore, when outfitting kitchens within an apartment tower, it makes sense to choose from a manufacturer offering a wide range of products.
BSH supplied a full complement of cooking appliances for a number of Q1 apartments, says commercial sales manager David McGrath.
"Working closely with the clients, we offered a selection of quality European kitchen appliances to suit modern high-rise living. The products needed to be reliable, easy to use and cost effective."
The introduction of gas into each apartment caused BSH to recommend a gas cooktop with wok burner. The integrated flame failure devices fitted to each individual burner ensures powerful heat is combined with operational safety.
McGrath says BSH offered homeowners plenty of flexibility, with some opting for electric or induction cooktops in place of gas.
"As most of our gas, electric and induction cooktops employ similar benchtop cut-out sizes, all variations were easily accommodated."
The multifunctional oven supplied by Bosch has a thermostat within the oven to ensure the temperature remains as constant as possible during the cooking process.
Additional cooking capacity is provided by the 27 litre microwave, which offers three-stage programming, as well as defrost functions and seven automatic weight programmes.
For fast, efficient removal of cooking odours, the twin-motor slideaway rangehood from BSH is supplied with pre-fitted charcoal filters.
