Well-insulated homes are easier to keep warm in winter and cool in summer. But the downside can be trapped stale air and a poorly ventilated home that retains unwanted volatile organic compounds (VOCs). These pollutants can cause reactions such as dizziness, headaches and nausea.

Panasonic's WhisperGreen¢ series features totally enclosed motors, galvanized housings and thermal fuse protection, all of which contribute to its quiet operation. As well, the wide blower wheel moves large amounts of air at reduced revolutions per minute, so it can barely be heard during operation.

WhisperGreen fans have a DC motor, which overcomes the problem of inexact installation. With this, the fan can compensate for changes in pressure for proper air flow. Some models also have a SmartAction® Motion Sensor, which has an adjustable delay timer, allowing the fan to run even after the bathroom is no longer being used.
