It's equally important to protect the environment from the wasted energy and waste products an office creates.Sinclair Knight Merz (SKM) has considered both of these concerns in creating what is targeted to be a 6-star Green Star office interiors fit-out, for Sustainability Victoria. Victoria Hart, SKM's manager of the project, says energy consumption was reduced by 40%. New furniture was selected on its environmental merits. Paints, adhesives and finishes were selected for their low VOC content, to minimise off-gassing.
