It wasn't too long ago that homes equipped with technologies such as remotely-activated video surveillance security and wireless stereo systems were the preserve of James Bond villains and rock stars.

Hills Electronic Security now offers these capabilities along with an array of others in one package, the Hills Home Product Suite, at a less exclusive price point.

The Hills Home Hub allows you to distribute phone, data, video, audio, TV and Pay-TV signals throughout your home and to share phone lines, a computer network and music, video and TV sources.

A multi-source, multi-room music system transmits up to four remote sources for instance, a radio, CD or MP3 player from your home entertainment area to up to eight rooms in your home. Each room features a pair of in-wall or in-ceiling speakers and a music room manager to control the source remotely. You can also plug in a local music source in each room allowing you to play different music to that streaming through the rest of the house.

Hills Alarm System can also protect the perimeter of your home with cameras and door and window sensors. It will also guard the interior via strategically placed motion sensors, which, if tripped, trigger a siren and external strobe. The alarm system can be controlled remotely and even programmed to operate gates, garage doors and lighting when it is turned on or off. The system doubles as a fire alarm and can be connected to a monitoring centre that will respond immediately should the alarm activate.

Hills Intercom System allows you to see who is at your front door before opening it. When the call button is pressed, a video camera is triggered and the image relayed to a video monitor unit within your home.

You can also look outside at any time at the press of a button. An audio function allows you to communicate with visitors at the door and other room stations throughout your home.
