Just as work methodologies are changing, so is office furniture evolving to meet the requirements of the modern workplace. An increasing emphasis on team work and interactive, open-plan office environments means flexibility and high performance are key criteria for chairs and workstations.

Diethelm Furniture, a specialist seating and desking manufacturer, has undertaken extensive research and development to fine-tune its furniture collections.

The Pegaso Series, featured on these pages, has a graceful, clear-cut design. Named after the winged horse of classical Greek mythology, this series features workstations incorporating electro-welded and varnished tubular steel legs combined with solid Melamine desktops. The legs are designed to house cables, which can be accessed through a pop-out insert.

The 18mm-thick desktops are available in Melamine Ribbed White, Ribbed Grey, Light Oak and Dark Oak. Similar finishes are available for the complementary storage units. Lively colour accents can be provided by screens that come in many different shades.

To provide maximum flexibility, desks can be freestanding, L shaped or U shaped. And workstations can be clustered side to side or front to back.

Pegaso conference tables, available in a variety of shapes and sizes, can be accessorised with powered flip tops for laptops and table lamp connections. When combined with Dedalo storage units with sliding doors, as shown here, the Pegaso Series offers an all-round office solution.

Another high-performance product from Diethelm Furniture is the Link chair from the company's Premium range (shown on this page). This Italian-designed chair is characterised by the chrome-plated steel and breathable, elasticised mesh fabric on the back rest.

Advanced engineering systems ensure the chair is fully adjustable. In addition, the seat features an innovative spring technology that ensures the chair is comfortable for prolonged working periods.

Diethelm Furniture says the Link chair is well suited to any work environment where an elegant, formal aesthetic is required. It is available in a variety of colours, including black.
