The word European conjures up images of performance cars, haute couture and modernist furniture. But this design tradition now filters down into every aspect of our lives, to include items such as home appliances and accessories.
The Electrolux Gallery range of built-in appliances is strongly influenced by European design and technological innovation. Dramatic fascias are coupled with advanced functions and controls to suit the mix of style, comfort and technology needed in today's homes.
The range uses the latest materials, such as aluminium and stainless steel, with black accents. For a consistent style throughout the kitchen, the Electrolux Gallery collection includes ovens, hobs, hoods, dishwashers, convection microwaves and the final touch a built-in espresso machine.
The Gallery oven introduces a professional edge to preparing meals at home, with steam-cooking technology. The multi-function ovens come in a single or double module, offering professional performance without an industrial appearance.
Complementing the look and functionality of the ovens is a selection of gas and electric hobs. Among these are six 300mm- and 600mm-wide units which can be installed separately or combined to create a personalised, dual-fuel cooktop.
Electric hob options include a combination barbecue grill and deep fryer, and induction models for added safety, speed and temperature control. All the gas hobs feature sturdy, cast-iron trivets, electronic ignition and an LPG conversion kit.
As an alternative to conventional cooking, the range also includes a convection microwave oven. This 30-litre oven can be used as either a versatile second oven or a space-saving option for apart-ment kitchens.
Awareness of the natural and kitchen environments has helped to shape the design of the Electrolux Gallery dishwashers. Their interior layout maximises loading and the filtration and Aquapulse system actively conserves water.
The dishwashers are designed to be fitted with a lower decor panel to match the under-bench ovens, to create a standardised look.
Completing the suite of appliances is a built-in espresso machine that offers the delights of freshly ground beans in a personally programmable coffee dispenser.
Electrolux Gallery also includes several canopy hoods, which offer a choice of speeds for quiet, efficient ventilation.
