The owners of this coastal site approached Latitude Residential wanting a relaxed, ultra-modern home with four bedrooms that suited family life and entertaining. The company worked with the clients, discussing budgets and walking them through the design and selection process to gain the information needed to produce a firm price to finish the project.

Karen Fletcher of Latitude Residential says once this was achieved, the clients, a professional couple, wanted minimal ongoing input, apart from choosing tiles, paint colours and floor finishes.

To create the ultra modern look requested and to add an artistic element to the design, Latitude Residential drew together a contrasting material palette of timber, glass and steel for the interior.

"For the exterior, we chose a neutral rendered finish to ensure the house blends well into the surrounding landscape and low-maintenance garden," says Fletcher.

"The owners really valued the freedom that was provided by the streamlined system we use. It also meant they enjoyed the process of building their new home."
