Architectus required environmentally friendly, easy care paint surfaces both inside and outside for the complex and Resene paints were specified, says Resene marketing manager Karen Warman.

"A Resene Sonyx 101 semi-gloss acrylic was chosen for the exterior concrete," says Warman. "This offers an aesthetically pleasing gloss level that is easy to keep clean but not so glossy that it will show up surface imperfections."

For much of the interior, a Resene Broadwall Surface Prep skim coat was applied, then sealed and topcoated in Resene Zylone Sheen in Sea Fog.

"Resene Broadwall Surface Prep is designed to give a smooth, uniform Level 5 finish on paperfaced plasterboard," says Warman. "This is particularly suitable for critical light areas, to ensure surface irregularities don't show up as glossy patches."

Resene Zylone Sheen's combination of resins and pigments provides an easy-to-maintain smooth topcoat film. Its washability, durability and ease of application, make Resene Zylone Sheen an effective choice for interior areas, says Warman.
