Maytag has refined this principle, producing its latest Trio range, says Simon Gooder, general manager of Maytag kitchen and laundry appliances.

"This innovative refrigerator combines the benefits of two easily accessible, side-by-side refrigerator cabinets with a freezer contained in a pull-out drawer below. It also maintains the "A" Energy Class rating and the well-insulated construction that has earned Maytag its reputation for reliability," says Gooder.

The doors of the trio range have three- point hinges, which provide strength and durability. The interlocking doors can be opened in any order, and they seal against themselves when closed. The door width gives excellent access to the refrigerator space. The freezer is accessed via a slide-out drawer, which makes all items easy to see and accessible.

Several sizes and colours are available and all models feature full-sized climate-controlled drawers to keep fruit and vegetables fresh and crisp. Slide-out freezer baskets offer a convenient storage option. Electronic touch controls set the desired refrigerator and freezer temperatures, and an optional ice dispenser is available.
