The association also provides ongoing education about new products and building methods.

Homeowners can also request a Homefirst Builders Guarantee, a 10-year guarantee issued by Builtin New Zealand Ltd. When a certified builder is the head contractor, it covers materials and work completed by the certified builder and the sub-contractors he engages, subject to the limitations in the guarantee agreement.
