Today, the installation of home automation and entertainment systems doesn't have to be an afterthought. Consulting a home automation expert at the planning stage makes obtaining a fully integrated system easy.

"When the couple areentertaining, or merely enjoying a quiet drink, piped music can be heard in the main bedroom, the bar area and alfresco patio."

Practicality is also a big part of the home automation design, and this extends to the infrared intercom that was installed, Boniface says.
