Number one on many new home buyers' checklists is whether the property has a good sense of indoor-outdoor flow.

This property has a pool and outdoor entertaining area overlooked by the living areas of the house.

A three-tiered landscape was designed to accommodate the slope upon which the pool was built. It was positioned on the middle level and was custom-made by Mayfair Pools.

Existing bricks were used to create a walled area, which is enhanced by night lighting. Plastered surfaces and wood louvre doors either side of a large, open fireplace add to the European look.

The pool features a long, curved edge, highlighted by a red wall that incorporates a sheer waterfall. The shape of the pool wall creates a sense of flow between the living area and the outdoors.

Colours inside the home are featured in the poolscape, which also helps connect the two spaces.
